We're Hiring: Position Announcement

POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT


My practice in Arlington,Mindful Solutions, LLC, is hiring! One position is a clinical psychologist, licensed in Virginia, to conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations of children, teens, and adults. This position may either be part time or full time, depending on the interests of the candidate. The person must have a PhD or PsyD from an accredited institution, and an APA accredited internship. They must already be licensed in Virginia. Experience administering tests of intelligence, achievement, and personality is required. Interest in or a willingness to receive training in the ADOS-2 and other measures of autism is desirable. If the psychologist wishes to be full-time, they may also choose to do individual therapy, groups, and consultation.

The second position is for a licensed mental health professional. This position will begin part time but expand to full-time with in the first year. This candidate can either be a licensed psychologist, LCSW, LPC, or LMF tea in Virginia. This position involves conducting child and family therapy. Experience in or strong interest in working with young children and their parents is necessary. We see many young children in the practice, and we do a lot of parent coaching. Thus, training in these areas is highly desirable. But we can augment training if the person has a strong interest. The person in this position will be expected to do individual therapy with children, parent coaching, and social skills groups for children and teens.

Both positions will be employed. Benefits include:

We are a busy private practice that sees children, adolescents, adults, and families. My goal as the practice director is to create a warm, engaging environment for clients, as well as a friendly and collaborative environment for our team of professionals. The vision of our practice is to promote healing, hope, and resilience through an integrative approach and the use of evidence-based practices.

Located one block from the courthouse metro in Arlington, VA, we draw a diverse clinical population. We collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, schools, and other wellness professionals to provide clients with a coordinated team for the most comprehensive treatment.

We will offer a free mental health screening to individuals in our office on October 6 at two times: 12-2pm and 6-8pm at Dr. Messenger's office.

The results of the self-report measures will be shared with clients at that time and a list of resources will be provided to each participant. Results are confidential. There is no obligation to enter treatment with Dr. Messenger or to engage in services at the practice. This is a community outreach event to promote awareness of depression and mental health.

Free Mental Health Screening

The screening will include administration of a brief questionnaire, which will be scored while individuals are present. Their results will be discussed with them by either myself or Dr. Kaufman, and recommendations and resources will be provided.  Results will remain confidential and not be shared beyond the confines of the screening.
